level 3 / and / 3–4
Prerequisite is the ability to be in headstand for 5–10 minutes (at the wall, if necessary) and shoulderstand for 5–10 minutes: intermediate and advanced asana for those who have level 2 experience. New students require the teacher’s permission.
all levels
One and all are welcome; students are assisted in working safely and appropriately at their current level.
all levels timed practice
Add to your regular yoga classes by quietly practicing a sequence of asanas, each held for a specific time. This is not a class where students will receive detailedteachings or individual attention.
pranayama
"yogic breath control", open to all students. The expansion and extention of energy or life force is Pranayama. A graded approach to this practice will include introduction of a foundation for the beginner with added elements for the development of the continuing student.
restorative
The sequences in this class will provide gentle backbends, supported forward bends, modified inversions and other asanas to calm your nerves, recharge your batteries, and restore balance to your body/mind. Iyengar Yoga can be adapted for all ages and fitness levels. Practice of the postures creates strength, increased range of motion, and stability. Students must be able to carry their own props and to get up and down from the floor. All levels of yoga practitioners are welcome
yoga kurunta / wall ropes
Kuranti is a puppet, a doll made of wood. In yoga Kurunta, one learns to manipulate oneself in the various yoga postures by means of a suspended rope as if one were a puppet. Performing yoga asana with the aid of a rope has many advantages. Difficult asanas can be practiced with ease. Due to the rope movement the spine becomes supple and even difficult asanas can be done easily and safely.
