studio etiquette

‎                    Giving does not impoverish us
                                        nor does withholding enrich us.

To make your experience and that of your fellow students more pleasant and focused, please:

~
Arrive on time for class. Set up for quiet sitting and be ready to begin. If you need to arrive late, wait until after the invocation to enter the room, then come in and join the class.
~
Refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, any essential oil or any other scented body products during class. Many students have strong sensitivities to these, and suffer from exposure.
~
Keep your voice quiet when waiting for class to begin, either inside or outside the studio; when a class is finishing, students may be in Savasana (relaxation.
~
If you are ill or fighting a virus, please focus on your healing at home. You are welcome to make-up classes during the term.
~
Inform the teacher before the start of class of any change in your health, or if you are fasting/on a cleanse, or if you are menstruating or pregnant. Adaptations can be made for any of these, but the instructor needs to be informed before the class begins (if possible, send an email in advance).
~
Make sure your cell phone is turned off during class.
~
Leave no trace: put away equipment neatly at the end of class, place tissues in garbage receptacle and take all belongings home with you.
